I graduated from CSU Fresno in 1987 with a BS in Environmental Health Science. I Began working for San Joaquin County and then moved to Sonoma County Environmental Health Services in 1994 where I specialized in Hazardous Materials inspection and Emergency Response. In 1998 I transferred to Sonoma County Fire and Emergency Services where I again specialized in Hazardous Materials, Fire Inspection, and Emergency Response. In 2006 I was promoted to the Operations Division where I worked as the Training and Safety Officer. I retired from Sonoma County Fire and Emergency Services in 2015 and began teaching full time for the Santa Rosa Junior College in the Fire Technology program. I have been an adjunct instructor since 2001 focusing on Hazardous Materials Emergency Response but now teach several different classes within the Fire Program.
