Leadership can be found in every corner of SRJC Petaluma! We seek to recognize those students who go above and beyond to exhibit leadership abilities and work towards improving our community. We celebrate students on our campus regardless of whether or not they hold formal leadership positions. Each year, our campus award winners will be recognized at our Student Leaders Appreciation event in May.

Student Leadership Awards Descriptions

Dean's Community Service Awards

The Dean's Community Service Award recognizes students who have completed community service in our community. This is a tiered award, students who complete 25-49 hours of community service will receive the Bronze Award; 50-99 hours of community service will receive the Silver Award; and over 100 hours of community service will receive the Gold Award. Receipients of this award will receive a certificate confirming their hours and recognition at the End of the Year Awards Banquet. Click the link on the right hand side to download the form and get started!

Dean's Campus Impact & Beyond Award

This award recognizes students who have made an outstanding contribution to  campus life by actively participating in or leading projects, creative performances, or planning large scale events that positively impact the community. These students work with an on-campus mentor to create their project throughout the year and write a short 2 page paper upon completion of their project to describe their process and outcome and analyze their project. Students who complete the Dean's Campus Impact and Beyond Award will receive a personalized letter of recommendation from the Dean as well as a certificate and recognition at annual Campus Awards & Recognition Night. This award is limited to up to five students. The Award For College Women in Leadership National Conference

SRJC Petaluma and the Petaluma Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW Petaluma) are excited to offer a college woman an award to cover air fare, registration, programs, housing and food (total estimated at $1200) to participate in the NATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR COLLEGE WOMEN STUDENT LEADERS (NCCWSL) at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD atthe end of May each year.

Every year hundreds of top college women join AAUW for three days of leadership training, inspiration, and networking. Now in its 33rd year, the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders brings together world-class speakers, top brands, and hundreds of passionate and inspired college women who are eager to become the leaders of tomorrow. With more than 10,000 attendees over the conference’s history, this is the premier leadership event for college women in the United States and globally.
