Communications Studies Faculty
PC 659
A California native, I grew up in the Central Valley, moved to the Bay Area to go to college, and then spent 10 years in Los Angeles teaching, consulting, and pining to move back to the Yay Area.
I believe that classroom experiences are co-created and believe noisy classrooms are good classrooms.
I have a broad base of study in communication with an emphasis on interpersonal communication, leadership, group communication, organizational communication, intercultural community, critical/cultural studies, conflict resolution, and rhetoric.
In addition to classroom work, I am a community activist and consultant. More recently, I have been working on creating equity in higher education and faculty professional learning.
