Jessica Harris

Born in Canada, Jessica is an East Coast transplant who grew up in an artist community and likes to travel anywhere new when she has the chance. She pursued her love for writing at Penn State, where she obtained a BA in English, and went on to Simmons College for an MS in Library Science. She is currently pursuing an MS in Online Teaching and Learning at CSU East Bay. She believes that learning is a continually evolving process for both students and instructors!
Jessica has worked with ESL students in Boston’s inner city schools, taught English in Japan via the JET Program, served students at Harvard University’s Cabot Library, and for several years, put her library research skills to work as Director of Research Services at Bain Capital. She has taught online and F2F information literacy courses at Santa Rosa Junior College, and covered a sabbatical position as Librarian and Puente instructor at Diablo Valley College. She is thrilled to come full circle to SRJC as Public Services Librarian. Her duties include website coordination, public service and information literacy instruction.
