Ngoc Tran
Chemistry Faculty
PC 664

Ngoc is a product of the California Community College system. She transferred to San Francisco State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree before completing her Ph.D. in Chemistry at U.C. San Diego. She returned to Contra Costa College (CCC) to teach chemistry and coach high school badminton before working with the California Department of Justice (DOJ) in Santa Rosa and Riverside as a forensic scientist. With the DOJ, she had the privilege of training the San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force and law enforcement agencies in the Riverside, Imperial, and San Diego Counties on the protocols involved in crime scene processing of controlled substances and digital evidence.

Just like she was excited to teach and learn from her academic and professional students at CCC and the DOJ, Ngoc is very excited to teach and learn from the varied student body at SRJC. She is interested in learning more about education technology tools that can make education more accessible to a wider audience and how the varied student body of this generation learn. When she's not immersed in things involving education and academics, Ngoc finds peace and clarity in rock climbing and biking with friends and family.
