El Movimiento Lecture by Laura Larque | Wednesday, March 26th from 12pm – 1pm | Petaluma Intercultural Center (Jacobs Hall, Room 116)

Laura Larque will discuss El Movimiento: The Chicano Civil Rights Movement that took place during the 1960s and 1970s, and the Movement’s struggle to bring an end to racism, exploitation, and cultural, economic, social, and political equality to the Chicanx communities. Larque’s analysis will focus on the participation of Chicanas within this Movement; Chicanas faced a double struggle: national liberation and equality within the Chicano Movement.

Financial Aid 

Financial Aid appointments are available in the Welcome & Connect Center Mondays, 1-5pm and Thursdays, 8:30-12:30pm if you have advanced questions about loans, special considerations for unique circumstances, an appeal or a disqualification.

Student Health Services 

Student Health Services Clinic is open on the Petaluma Campus Mondays & Wednesdays 9:00 – 4:00. Nurse Practitioner Appointments both days and mental health appointments Wednesday only. 

Once a month on Wednesday is our Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic from 1:00 – 4:00. Next one is Wednesday, February 12th.  Confidential services include STD testing, birth control counseling and services, paps and breast exams.

FREE GED Prep Courses are also available online or on the Santa Rosa Campus, also known as College Skills (CSKLS 731-733 and CSLKS 741-742). Classes available in English & Spanish.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS... 
Are you interested in earning CSU transferable units for volunteering in the community?  CI 51 may be the course for you! This course is a self-directed student volunteer program designed to facilitate experiential learning and service to the community.  Volunteer placements include animal care facilities, clinics, day care centers, hospitals, recreation programs, schools, senior care centers, and various social service agencies.  Note takers may also take this course. High School students are welcome. Students volunteer 52.50 hours per unit per semester for 0.50-3.00 units. A great opportunity to earn CSU transferrable elective units and give back to the community at the same time!

Student Identification (ID) cards are available for FREE. Having a Student ID card is essential as it will serve as your official student identification and provide access to on-campus events. You will also be able to ride FREE on any Sonoma County, Santa Rosa or Petaluma buses with a current enrollment sticker.
