Free Farmer's Market 

November 5th, 11:30am-1:30pm under the outdoor canopy (between buildings 400 & 500). You can pick up fresh produce and other groceries. Can’t make it? Leftover produce and other items are moved to the Welcome & Connect Center after each event. More information here.

November 12th, 11:30am-1pm. In the Student Engagement and Success Center (PC500). Join us for the first Free Takeout Tuesday! Each 2nd Tuesday of the month. Free lunch and the opportunity to connect with a campus department or service. This time we are serving sandwiches from the Marin Catering Company!  See you there!

Come say “Hi” and visit with the popular SRJC Therapy Dogs. Our friendly pups are at Mahoney Library every Tuesday from 11 am to 12:30 noon. Spending time with therapy dogs reduces school and work stress!

Petaluma Intercultural Center

Stop by the Petaluma Intercultural Center (PIC) at Jacobs Hall 116. Find the campus mural, find us!  Within the PIC you’ll find opportunities for deeper levels of student engagement through:  

  • consciousness-raising workshops and events 
  • multicultural performances and activities that range from musical performances to art workshops to guest talks by social-justice activists 
  • Student lounge and study space: hang out, study, hold club meetings, meet with staff! 

In the center, we also have free coffee and tea, a gender-inclusive bathroom, free coffee and tea, a food pantry outlet, and more. 

The Petaluma Intercultural Center is also home to our Madiba Scholars program. The mission of Madiba is to support and guide Black students through their academic journey through mentorship in educational and career development endeavors. The vision is to create a safe space for students to thrive in their academics and to foster thought leaders and change makers.

Financial Aid appointments are available in the Welcome & Connect Center Mondays, 1-5pm and Thursdays, 8:30-12:30pm if you have advanced questions about loans, special considerations for unique circumstances, an appeal or a disqualification.

GED Pricing for In-person testing and retake rules will change in California: Currently California charges $35 per subject for the GED® test at a Test Center. Starting July 1, 2023: California charges $41 per subject for the GED® test at a Test Center. 

FREE GED Prep Courses are also available online or on the Santa Rosa Campus, also known as College Skills (CSKLS 731-733). Classes available in English & Spanish.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS... 
Are you interested in earning CSU transferable units for volunteering in the community?  CI 51 may be the course for you! This course is a self-directed student volunteer program designed to facilitate experiential learning and service to the community.  Volunteer placements include animal care facilities, clinics, day care centers, hospitals, recreation programs, schools, senior care centers, and various social service agencies.  Note takers may also take this course. High School students are welcome. Students volunteer 52.50 hours per unit per semester for 0.50-3.00 units. A great opportunity to earn CSU transferrable elective units and give back to the community at the same time!

SRJC ID Cards are BACK

Student Identification (ID) cards are available for FREE. Having a Student ID card is essential as it will serve as your official student identification and provide access to on-campus events. You will also be able to ride FREE on any Sonoma County, Santa Rosa or Petaluma buses with a current enrollment sticker.  

You can come get your physical Student ID now at the following locations: 

  • Santa Rosa Campus: Student Information Desk, (Bertolini Student Center, 1st Floor)  
  • Petaluma Campus: Welcome and Connect Center (Mike Smith Hall, Building 500)
