Rhythm, Roots, and Resilience: Black History through African & Liberian Culture

The session will include storytelling, discussion, and a live drumming circle experience that highlights music as a tool for communication, healing, and cultural preservation across the African diaspora.

Emilly Prado is the author of Funeral for Flaca and will share the evolving nature of finding her path as a writer, drawing upon her experiences as a first-generation Chicana and college student, and self-proclaimed troublemaker who struggled with school and mental health.

The Posada de Petaluma was a wonderful success, filled with community, culture, and joy. We are grateful to the staff, student workers, campus partners, and students who helped make this celebration possible. Due to its success, the Posada de Petaluma will now be a yearly tradition.

Rotary Scholarship

Rotary Scholarships Available (up to $5,000)

The Santa Rosa Rotary Club Foundation is offering 14 scholarships for SRJC students ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 for the 2026-27 academic year. For more information and eligibility requirements click HERE

Student Health Services is excited to announce that we've expanded our mental health appointments to MONDAYS and WEDNESDAYS on the Petaluma Campus.
