There are still two opportunities to join SGA's Petaluma representation! There are two Petaluma-focused SGA positions still looking for candidates: Petaluma VP of Clubs and Petaluma VP of Student Life. These positions are essential to Petaluma campus life and bringing student voices to the greater campus community.

Parking Permits

Parking Permits are required to park on all SRJC sites and campuses. Summer Parking Permits can be purchased for $30 in your Student Portal or In-Person in the Petaluma Admissions & Records Office in the Welcome & Connect Center, open M/T/Th 8am – 5 pm, W 8 am – 7 pm.

Student Success Team

Meet with your Student Success Coach!                                                                              

We are here to help you! As success coaches, we are students just like you, and each member of our team can help connect you to resources and help you improve your student success skills. We can help you create a study plan to follow throughout the semester, and improve your study skills, note-taking, and time management skills. For this semester, we will be available in-person in our Student Success Team office and online in our zoom room. This summer we are offering you both individual and group ready appointments. We will help you create an individualized success plan to succeed in your classes, connect you with resources, as well as make sure you have all your questions answered. This is a great way for you to get your semester off on the right track.

Petaluma Intercultural Center

Have you visited the Intercultural Center at SRJC Petaluma? Come check us out at Jacobs Hall Room 116, located across the clock tower, under our Petaluma campus mural. Below are our summer hours: 

  • Monday – Wednesday: 8:30am – 5pm 
  • Thursday: 8:30am – 3:30pm 

Beyond simply providing a “safe space” for marginalized students, you can also engage in consciousness-raising activities and multicultural events that range from musical performances to guest talks by social-justice activists. GED Pricing for In-person testing and retake rules will change in California: Currently California charges $35 per subject for the GED® test at a Test Center. Starting July 1, 2023: California charges $41 per subject for the GED® test at a Test Center. 

FREE GED Prep Courses are also available online or on the Santa Rosa Campus, also known as College Skills (CSKLS 731-733). Classes available in English & Spanish.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS... 
Are you interested in earning CSU transferable units for volunteering in the community?  CI 51 may be the course for you! This course is a self-directed student volunteer program designed to facilitate experiential learning and service to the community.  Volunteer placements include animal care facilities, clinics, day care centers, hospitals, recreation programs, schools, senior care centers, and various social service agencies.  Note takers may also take this course. High School students are welcome. Students volunteer 52.50 hours per unit per semester for 0.50-3.00 units. A great opportunity to earn CSU transferrable elective units and give back to the community at the same time!
