Free Farmer's Market 

Due to winter break, there is no Free Farmers Market in January. The Food Pantry remains open, and the next Free Farmers Market will be  February 4th, 11:30am-1:30pm under the outdoor canopy (between buildings 400 & 500).  More information here.

Tuesday, January 14th , noon -1pm. In the Petaluma Student Engagement & Success Center. Join us for the first Free Takeout Tuesday! Each 2nd Tuesday of the month. Free lunch and the opportunity to connect with a campus leadership who are eager to hear about your experiences and hopes for the Petaluma Campus offerings. Student Success Team Workshop: Get Set Up for Success & Syllabus Review Workshop  

It's almost time for the semester again so let the Petaluma Student Success Team help you set yourself up for success. Join us Wednesday Jan. 15th from 12:00-1:00pm for our 1st workshop. Topics include reviewing your syllabus, knowing how to navigate canvas and planning out your week for success. The workshop is going to take place in person at the Petaluma Campus Student Engagement & Success Center, Mike Smith Hall Building 500, Room 114.

Student Success Team Workshop: How to Use AI Effectively Workshop 

Curious about how AI can boost your productivity and academic success? Join us for a hands-on workshop to learn practical tips and tools for using AI responsibly and ethically in your studies and beyond. Join us Tuesday Jan. 28th from 12:00-1:00pm. In collaboration with EOPS, students in EOPS who attend will receive a contact! The workshop is going to take place in person at the Petaluma Campus Student Engagement & Success Center, Mike Smith Hall Building, 500 Room 114.

We are here to help you! As Success Coaches, we are students like you, and each team member can help connect you to resources and help you improve your student success skills.

Financial Aid 

Financial Aid appointments are available in the Welcome & Connect Center Mondays, 1-5pm and Thursdays, 8:30-12:30pm if you have advanced questions about loans, special considerations for unique circumstances, an appeal or a disqualification. 

Students can join a zoom time to obtain virtual assistance 

Join us on Thursday, February 20, 2025, for SRJC Petaluma Campus Financial Aid Fun Day in the Student Success & Engagement Center from 11 am – 2 pm! Student Financial Services staff will be assisting students to complete their financial aid applications and celebrating with lunch, music, photo booth, and a resource fair. More information to come.

Student Health Services 

 

Student Health Services Clinic is open on the Petaluma Campus Mondays & Wednesdays 9:00 – 4:00. Nurse Practitioner Appointments both days and mental health appointments Wednesday only. 

Once a month on Wednesday is our Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic from 1:00 – 4:00. Next one is Wednesday, February 12th.  Confidential services include STD testing, birth control counseling and services, paps and breast exams.

GED Pricing for In-person testing and retake rules will change in California: Currently California charges $35 per subject for the GED® test at a Test Center. Starting July 1, 2023: California charges $41 per subject for the GED® test at a Test Center. 

FREE GED Prep Courses are also available online or on the Santa Rosa Campus, also known as College Skills (CSKLS 731-733). Classes available in English & Spanish.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS... 
Are you interested in earning CSU transferable units for volunteering in the community?  CI 51 may be the course for you! This course is a self-directed student volunteer program designed to facilitate experiential learning and service to the community.  Volunteer placements include animal care facilities, clinics, day care centers, hospitals, recreation programs, schools, senior care centers, and various social service agencies.  Note takers may also take this course. High School students are welcome. Students volunteer 52.50 hours per unit per semester for 0.50-3.00 units. A great opportunity to earn CSU transferrable elective units and give back to the community at the same time!

Student Identification (ID) cards are available for FREE. Having a Student ID card is essential as it will serve as your official student identification and provide access to on-campus events. You will also be able to ride FREE on any Sonoma County, Santa Rosa or Petaluma buses with a current enrollment sticker.  

You can come get your physical Student ID now at the following locations: 

  • Santa Rosa Campus: Student Information Desk, (Bertolini Student Center, 1st Floor)
