Bearcub Basics are available in the Welcome & Connect Center during their published business hours and also in the Student Engagement & Success Center until 5pm, Monday - Thursday. Please read on to learn more information about the various services to meet your basic needs.

Personal Hygiene
- Showers
Showers are available in the fitness center at designated times. See the schedule here.
Towels and basic toiletries are available at the Welcome & Connect Center front desk.
- Laundry
Self-serve laundry is available to all students in the Welcome and Connect Center. Come wash your clothes while doing homework or hanging out in the Petaluma Student Engagement and Success Center!

Basic toiletries such as toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and lotion are available in the Food Pantry inside the Welcome & Connect Center.

- Food Pantry
The Food Pantry is open Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm, and Friday 8am-12pm in the Welcome & Connect Center. The pantry is stocked with snacks, instant meals, and dried goods.

- Free Farmer's Market
In partnership with The Redwood Empire Food Bank, Our Free Farmer’s Market provides all SRJC students with the opportunity to take home free groceries. Please check out events page for days/times.

- Cooking Demos
Come to our regular cooking demonstrations to learn how to use ingredients from the Free Farmer’s Markets. See the recipes here.
- CalFresh Assistance
We assist students through the CalFresh Food Assistance application process and answer any questions you may have. For help, stop by the Welcome & Connect Center or connect with the Basic Needs Coordinator.
- Feed the Bears Voucher
Engage with the Bearcub Basics Program to qualify for up to four $20 Feed the Bears Meal Vouchers.
Vouchers can be used for food and beverages at the Petaluma Campus Bookstore only.
Want a warm coffee or tea? Order through the bookstore, and if the coffee cart is open you will have that option.

Free & Affordable Transportation
- CubCard Virtual ID
SRJC students can use their Virtual CubCard ID to ride county and city buses for free. Get your card here.
- Clipper Cards
During spring 2023, enrolled SRJC students can request the Clipper Bay Pass. The pass will remain valid for 2 years, contingent on ongoing enrollment. Request your card here.

Free & Affordable Technology
- Internet
SRJC students can stay connected through various internet providers and phone carriers. The following link provides more information on what is available. Learn about these programs here.
- Laptops
Students can borrow laptops and/or WIFI hotspots from the SRJC Libraries each semester. Learn more here.
The SRJC is partnered with Everyoneon which is a program that helps bring low-cost internet service and affordable computers to those who need it. Learn more about this program here.
