The vision is to create a safe space for students to thrive in their academics and to foster thought leaders and change makers. We are committed to building a strong community that creates a sense of belonging and engagement at the SRJC Petaluma campus.

The mission is to support and guide Black students through their academic journey through mentorship in educational and career development endeavors.
- Goals
- Connect and build important relationships with peers, staff, student leaders, and faculty on campus and in the community.
- Create student engagement opportunities through community building activities and culturally relevant workshops.
- Support the completion of Math and English courses.
- Support students in their academic and personal goals.
- Scholar Requirements
- Attend monthly general meeting.
- Check-in with Madiba Scholars Coordinator once a month.
- Attend one workshop or activity per month.
