Madiba Scholars Program

    The vision is to create a safe space for students to thrive in their academics and to foster thought leaders and change makers. We are committed to building a strong community that creates a sense of belonging and engagement at the SRJC Petaluma campus.

  • Mission Statement

    The mission is to support and guide Black students through their academic journey through mentorship in educational and career development endeavors.

  • Goals  
    • Connect and build important relationships with peers, staff, student leaders, and faculty on campus and in the community.
    • Create student engagement opportunities through community building activities and culturally relevant workshops.
    • Support the completion of Math and English courses. 
    • Support students in their academic and personal goals. 
  • Scholar Requirements
    • Attend monthly general meeting.
    • Check-in with Madiba Scholars Coordinator once a month.
    • Attend one workshop or activity per month.
